The 6th edition of the international. Desertif’Actions Summit 2026 officially opened this Tuesday, March 25, 2026, in Djerba, at the Higher Institute of Technological Studies (ISET).The opening ceremony was presided over by the representative of the Tunisian Minister of Environment, Habib Abid, marking the official launch of this major international event dedicated to combating desertification and drought.Held under the theme:“For resilient territories in the face of drought: let us act now,”this edition runs from March 25 to 28, 2026, and brings together more than 400 participants from all continents.The summit confirms its position as a platform for action and strategic reflection aimed at strengthening the resilience of territories facing climate crises. In a global context marked by increasing drought and land degradation, these challenges have now become top priorities.Desertif’Actions 2026 also serves as an inclusive, multi-stakeholder dialogue platform. It brings together key actors at international, regional, and local levels policymakers, researchers, civil society organizations, and technical partners to enhance the coherence and impact of initiatives undertaken to combat desertification.Through panels, workshops, and experience-sharing sessions, participants aim to formulate concrete recommendations to reduce territorial vulnerabilities and accelerate actions toward sustainable and resilient development.Babacar sene/babaclimat /journal Agropasteur
