In preparation for the 5th Global High-Level Ministerial Meeting on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), scheduled for June 2026 in Nigeria, the Global AMR Media Alliance (GAMA) is organizing an international press conference on April 13, 2026.This media event is part of a broader effort to mobilize information stakeholders around this major global public health issue. It represents an important preparatory step ahead of the ministerial meeting, which will be held for the first time in Nigeria and, more broadly, on the African continent. The conference will bring together high-level speakers, including officials from the Nigerian government, representatives of the Quadripartite organizations engaged in the fight against antimicrobial resistance, as well as media professionals, journalists, bloggers, and influencers.Through this initiative, GAMA aims to strengthen media engagement in raising awareness and disseminating reliable information on AMR, a phenomenon that poses a growing threat to human, animal, and environmental health.Considered a major event of the year, this gathering will also provide an opportunity to promote the sharing of experiences among countries, encourage dialogue among stakeholders, and reinforce the role of the media in supporting public policies to combat antimicrobial resistance. The organizers invite media professionals to take part in this international press conference by registering via the following link:https://us06web.zoom.us/…/register/3nDa-FP_R8WLhjyIu1mv8ABabacar SeneAgropasteur Journal
