On the occasion of the international Women Deliver 2026 conference, the Women Deliver Coalition is organizing a major side event this Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, in Meeting Room No. 106.
Under the theme: “Countering anti-rights narratives and disinformation through narrative-building and multisectoral partnerships,” this strategic gathering will bring together international stakeholders committed to defending reproductive rights.
This week, thousands of participants from the global sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) community, along with numerous partner sectors, are gathering in Narrm (Melbourne), Australia, for WD2026, a major international event aimed at strengthening feminist commitments and accelerating concrete progress for women’s rights.
For the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP), this participation builds on the momentum initiated during ICFP 2025, with the goal of consolidating global alliances around a shared vision.
The “Stronger Together” coalition is based on a shared conviction: the sustainable promotion of reproductive rights requires stronger coordination, continuity of action, and collective mobilization among the various global movements working to advance women’s health.
By bringing together multiple international platforms and organizations, this coalition seeks to align priorities, amplify common messages, and ensure accountability for commitments made at the global level.
The event will begin with an introductory panel featuring several influential figures, including Dina Chaerani, Paola Salwan Daher, Lauren Wetzler, and Dr. Samukeliso Dube.
Through this initiative, Women Deliver 2026 aims to strengthen multisectoral partnerships in order to better counter growing disinformation and attacks against women’s fundamental rights worldwide.
The meeting is therefore set for Thursday, April 30, 2026, in Melbourne, for what promises to be a decisive gathering in strengthening international advocacy for women’s rights and reproductive justice.
