The notable presence of the organizers of the Sommet de l’Élevage, represented by their Moroccan partner during SIAM, held from Monday, April 20 to Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in Meknès under the theme “Sustainability of Animal Production and Food Sovereignty,” and under the High Patronage of His Majesty, clearly demonstrates the importance of SIAM 2026 as a key gathering for agricultural stakeholders in Morocco, across Africa, and beyond. It also reflects the strength of cooperation between France and Morocco, especially after Morocco was the Guest of Honor Country at the 34th edition of the Sommet de l’Élevage in 2025 in Clermont-Ferrand, where it showcased its expanding livestock sector, agricultural expertise, and partnership opportunities.

Since its first edition, SIAM has followed a rich and evolving path. Each year, the exhibition marks a new milestone in its commitment to innovative, inclusive, and future-oriented agriculture.

Even without an official stand this year, the representative of the Sommet de l’Élevage in Morocco ensured a strong on-the-ground presence throughout SIAM by visiting numerous stands, engaging with various livestock sector stakeholders, and distributing brochures for the 35th edition of the Sommet de l’Élevage, which will take place from October 6 to 9, 2026, in Clermont-Ferrand, France.

This major international event will bring together 1,800 exhibitors, 2,000 elite animals, 120,000 professional visitors, more than 150 conferences, and a dedicated reception program for international visitors.

The 2026 edition will also be marked by the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists, proclaimed by the United Nations and Food and Agriculture Organization, featuring exhibitions, international conferences, and stands from various countries.

Participation in SIAM provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen ties between Moroccan professionals and the Sommet de l’Élevage around key issues such as genetics, innovation, sustainability, pastoralism, and the development of animal production sectors.

At SIAM 2026, the must-attend event for agricultural stakeholders in Morocco and Africa, the stage is now set for strong participation in the Sommet de l’Élevage from October 6 to 9, 2026, in Clermont-Ferrand—an essential global meeting point for livestock professionals in France.
